Preparation for the Mathematical Mind
The approach to mathematics
is based on the development of abstract ideas that begin
from concrete impressions. The comprehension of children
of numerical concepts and symbols is developed with
concrete materials of an absolute clarity, that isolate
a mathematical concept and are also self-correctible.
Among other things, children learn the whole numbers,
explore the decimal system, and approach the main four
mathematical operations.
The prepared environment
also includes a program of musical, geographic, artistic
and scientific activities.
